Headphones Sales and Deals
The Headphones to look out for

Headphones unlike TVs, don't have a set release schedule. Their price does usually drop over time but not in the same planned and dramatic manner. Here are the best deals we've found on the headphones we recommend:

Headphone Deals (Updated 03/29/2017)

Jaybird X2

The Jaybird X2 are excellent sports headphones, and they have a decent enough overall performance, to be recommended for most use cases. They have an above-average sound quality, they're incredibly stable, portable and easy to carry around on your person. They also passively isolate better than some active noise canceling headphones. The Midnight color variation is currently below 100$, which is significantly cheaper than all the other color schemes, and well worth the investment.

Level U Pro

The Level U Pro deliver a lot of features for their budget price. They have a good wireless range they're more comfortable than typical in-ear models and provide a simple neckband fit that stable and versatile enough for sports use. They might not be the most well-built headphones, but at their low price, they're worth the investment. The noise canceling variation is also on sale, but we have yet to test that model.

Bluedio Turbine T2s

The Bluedio Turbine T2s have another deal/sale. They're an affordable wireless headset with a powerful bass. They don't have as many features as the Bluedio T3 plus, which are also on sale but they have a better wireless range and overall sound quality. They're also lightweight and somewhat stable enough to run with, but they're not the most comfortable headphones.

Koss Porta Pro

The Porta Pros are popular on-ear headphones that deliver a sound quality on par with much more expensive models. They have a spacious and well-balanced audio reproduction that will easily satisfy casual or critical listeners. They're also compact and comfortable, but they're a bit fragile. They're already pretty affordable, but right now they have a 20% sale that makes them a great recommendation for most listeners.

Sennheiser HD 598 Cs

The HD 598 Cs are the closed variation of the open HD 598. They're for critical listeners who don't mind sacrificing the great soundstage of the open model for a bit more bass and isolation. They won't be the ideal headphones for commuting as they still let a bit of ambient noise in but their overall comfort, build, and sound quality makes them a good recommendation for most listeners, especially, at their current discounted price.

Questions & Answers

Can any of these headphones be used on a Tv or is that a special category.
If your TV supports Bluetooth headphones, then the Bluetooth headphones listed here should work. For wired headphones, you may need an amplifier to bring the TV signal up to a level that headphones can use.
